So I finished painting my Elamite warband this morning.

Again, as with the Abramites from my previous post, there is a lot of artistic license with these figures. The reason being that much of the reference images you may see online for Elamites or in Osprey books are a good few hundred years later than my warband, so I just picked a colour scheme that contrasted well against my Abramites.

There was a small amount of milliput work as I turned some trousers into skirts and as a result had to extend the fur cape on the far right in the image above. All the painting is fairly simple, but I make sure to apply a gloss lacquer since these are metal figures, which I then cover with a brown wash (Agrax Earthshade) to bring everything back to a Matt finish and add some shading.
