The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them; the same were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown.

Genesis 6:4

Bible scholars may debate the meaning of this strange passage, and what or who the Nephilim were exactly. Not to mention the existence of Goliath the most famous biblical giant who came in at around 9 feet (or nearer 7 in some manuscripts) or the rather less famous Og King of Bashan:

King Og of Bashan was the last survivor of the giant Rephaites. His bed was made of iron and was more than thirteen feet long and six feet wide. It can still be seen in the Ammonite city of Rabbah.

Deuteronomy 3:11

Whether these people were descendants of humans and angels or the unfortunate sufferers of giantism, or men whose deeds were so great their size was a later exaggeration I’ll leave up to the scholars. But for me and my early biblical skirmishes they are too cool not to include in a rather literal way. To that end I picked up some of Irregular Miniatures 42mm scale generic ancients, which I equipped with Sea People heads (Irregular give you a choice of quite a few) because I thought they’d look cool.

But how do they compare in size to our poor Abramites?

We’re gonna need some bigger javelins!
